In the past week, the Swedish Employment Service has registered 18 433 persons who gave notice of dismissal. So far in March, a total of 36,800 people have been notified of dismissal. By comparison, 3,292 were notified in March last year.
- In the past week, the number of people affected by notice has doubled. We are now also seeing a spread to transport and trade, ”says Annika Sundén.
So far in March, most people have been notified of dismissal in hotels and restaurants, staffing and the hospitality industry. The major cities in Sweden have the most notified notice, but the other counties take a larger share.
