French Health Minister Olivier Ferrand announced on Saturday that France has requested "more than a billion" muzzle to confront the outbreak of the Corona virus (Covid-19), while the United Nations announced the donation of 250,000 muzzle to the American city of New York, to help it cope with the outbreak of the epidemic.

The minister pointed out during a press conference to "the establishment of a close and intensive air bridge between France and China in a way that facilitates the entry of masks to our lands," and reminded that his country needs 40 million muzzles per week.

This comes as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, in a statement issued by his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, that masks in excess of the requirements of the United Nations will be granted to medical professionals in New York, who dealt bravely, altruously and tirelessly with the spread of Corona.

"We speak with one voice to express our firm support for this great city and its people, especially since New York is for us not just a homeland or the headquarters of the United Nations, it is a vibrant international capital through which the world communicates."

The statement stressed that the staff of the United Nations and the American Mission to the International Organization are currently working with the Office of the Mayor of New York to ensure the rapid delivery of this equipment to medical facilities throughout the city.

On Friday, New York Governor Andrew Kono announced that Corona's state injuries had risen to 44,600, including 519 deaths.

In total, the United States recorded nearly 113,000 injuries as of Saturday, including nearly 1,900 deaths.

As of Saturday evening, the number of coronas infected worldwide exceeded 641,000, of whom more than 29,000 had died, while more than 139,000 had recovered from the disease.

Production and request
With the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic on the continents of the world, many Chinese industrialists have been involved in the production of protective masks to meet the great demand for them and benefit from the huge profits that can be accumulated.

At the height of the crisis in China in early February, Guan Chunch built a lab within 11 days to produce "N95" masks.

With the epidemic stopping spreading on Chinese soil and cases spreading abroad, the 34-year-old manager is targeting new markets such as Italy, which is the country most affected by the emerging corona virus.

Mask manufacturers have become more like an army. During the first two months of 2020, China registered 8,950 new masks factories on its soil, according to the Tianyansha company information website.

Chi Sheng Hu, director of sales for a company in Dongguan (south of the country), likened it to "the mask making machine of a banknote printing machine."

In addition, profit margins increased by a few cents from the euro per mask, compared to less than one cent previously. "We are currently producing about 60,000 to 70,000 masks a day. It seems like we're printing money," he says.
