Liechtenstein skier Tina Weirather, an Olympic and world super-G medalist, announced on social media on Wednesday that she was ending her career at 30.

"It will have been an exciting ride, the adventure of a lifetime. All that I am today, I owe it to skiing. 15 years after my first World Cup race I can say without regret that I have given everything, "she wrote.

Heiress of a family of champions (her mother Hanni Wenzel is double Olympic champion, her father Harti Weirather world champion and her uncle Andreas Wenzel double Olympic medalist), the specialist in super-G won bronze at the Pyeongchang Games in 2018 and the silver at the Mondial de Saint-Moritz in 2017.

Tina Weirather has also won two super-G globes (2017 and 2018) and has 41 podiums including 9 World Cup victories.
