At this point, the 2019 "transcripts" of the three major telecommunications operators have all been released. Sino-Singapore Jingwei client calculations found that the three major operators in total earned about 132.99 billion yuan in 2019, and about 362 million yuan per day. China Mobile can be described as the "most profitable" operator, earning about 292 million yuan a day.
The data shows that the performance of the three major operators in 2019 is not optimistic. The revenue of China Telecom and China Unicom fell slightly year-on-year. Only China Mobile achieved positive growth.
In 2019, China Mobile's revenue was 745.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%; China Telecom's revenue was 375.734 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.4%; China Unicom's revenue was 290.51 billion yuan, a 0.1% year-on-year decrease. The revenues of the three major operators totaled 14,121.144 billion yuan.
In terms of net profit, of the three major operators, only China Unicom jumped sharply, China Mobile and China Telecom fell year-on-year, but after excluding the one-time after-tax income brought by the listing of China Tower, China Telecom's net profit still rose year-on-year.
Data show that China Mobile's net profit was 106.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.5%; China Telecom's net profit was 20.517 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.3%; China Unicom's net profit was 4.982 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.1%. The three major operators will earn a total of about 132.99 billion yuan in 2019 and a daily profit of about 362 million yuan.
In terms of user numbers, in 2019, China Mobile ’s mobile customers increased by 25.21 million, reaching 950 million; China Telecom has approximately 336 million mobile users, with 4G users accounting for 83.8%; China Unicom ’s Increased 3.44 million households, the total number reached 318 million, and the total number of 4G users reached 254 million.
2019 is the first year of 5G development. The three major operators have made arrangements for deployment, and 5G performance has grown steadily.
China Telecom: As of the end of 2019, the company invested 9.3 billion yuan to build 40,000 5G base stations and shared over 20,000 5G base stations of China Unicom. As of the end of February 2020, the company's 5G package users have reached 10.73 million.
China Mobile: Over 50,000 5G base stations have been opened, providing 5G commercial services in 50 cities; as of the end of February 2020, the number of China Mobile 5G users reached 15.4 million, a net increase of 8.66 million from the end of January.
