The famous hairdresser Franck Provost has decided to give all the products useful in the fight against the coronavirus from his salons to pharmacists. On Europe 1, he also calls on all aesthetics professionals to do the same.

INTERVIEW

Wipes, disinfectant sprays, latex gloves ... In the midst of a coronavirus epidemic, and in the midst of a shortage of protective equipment, Franck Provost decided to put its stone in the building in solidarity with the nursing staff. The 2,000 French salons of the Provalliance group (Franck Provost, Saint-Algue, Jean-Louis David in particular) are thus called upon to give all their useful material to healthcare professionals. At Anne Roumanoff's microphone on Europe 1, he tells why he made such a decision and calls on his colleagues to do the same.

Disinfectants, latex gloves

A "logical, normal initiative" according to Franck Provost. "Our salons [hairdressers, editor's note] are closed, but we have stocks of disinfectants and gloves and latex. I found it unfortunate to have this in our cupboards when it is lacking everywhere," he explains to microphone from Europe 1.

A "specific and official authorization" to travel

On a "voluntary basis", each of the 2,000 or so salon managers in the group can therefore go to the nearest pharmacy to deliver their stock. But beware, Franck Provost wanted to do things right. "We contacted the national council of the order of pharmacists, we agreed," he said. An essential step so that hairdressers "can move around with specific and official authorization".

A call to all aesthetics professionals

Taking advantage of his time on the air, Franck Provost is also launching an appeal to all hairdressers and more generally to all aesthetic professionals: "They can join us and do the same thing by bringing gloves, wipes , disinfectant sprays ... If everyone makes a small gesture, we hope it will get better. "
