Today, the Sultanate of Oman announced a new set of measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.

The Omani News Agency, through its account on Twitter, stated that the measures issued by the Supreme Committee to deal with the virus include stopping the printing of newspapers, magazines and publications of all kinds and preventing their circulation, and preventing the sale and circulation of newspapers, magazines and publications issued outside the Sultanate.

It also decided to close all exchange houses, provided that the banks provide exchange services, with the need to take the necessary precautionary and preventive measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

It also decided to close auditor services halls in all public and private institutions, and to use electronic services as possible.

It also directed to prevent gatherings of all kinds in public places, and to take appropriate measures against violators, as well as to reduce the number of employees present in workplaces in government agencies to no more than 30% of the total number of employees to complete the necessary work, while the rest of the employees start their work remotely As determined by the authority in which the employee works.

The Omani Ministry of Health announced earlier today three new infections with the Corona virus, bringing the total number of infections recorded in the country to 55 cases.
