The reception, which will be called the ATV Reception (Alternative to Violence), is now being built in the Ryhov area. The business is not intended for women or girls who are in an acute violence situation, but is for those who want help moving forward after a relationship with various types of violence involved, reports Jönköpings Posten.

- We start from violence in close relationships and look at the possibilities of including children and young people and then it can be about honor-related violence, among other things. But the latter must in that case be a complement to, for example, child and adolescent psychiatry, says Annelie Winström of the Jönköping County Region to the newspaper.

"Mental violence is worse"

The business named ATV reception will work with psychotherapy. SVT has talked to several women who have been subjected to violence in a relationship, they say that the psychological violence is worse than the physical violence.

"The physical pain goes away but the psychic remains," said a woman SVT called Leila, who told about her violent situation in early March this year.

Leila wanted to be beaten in her then relationship instead of being psychologically exposed. Hear her entire story in the clip below.
