Coronaoron is believed to be the reason why the blood center does not have as many donors as usual.

- It's still okay with the stock but it soon becomes empty if it is used more than we get in, says Magnus Nordström, head of medicine for the blood center at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå.

No one who is ill is allowed to come and give blood. The rules are strict for blood donors. As of Monday, staff at NUS feel that blood donors are out.

"It is very corona talk," says Marianne Bygdén, one of the nurses who works here and who thinks that the week's influx is significantly lower than before.

The medical director of the Blood Center is Magnus Nordström. He appeals to blood donors to continue to come provided they are healthy.
