The failure to quarantine dozens of passengers from France and China is controversial.

Arriving in Abidjan on Tuesday, after having passed through immigration, passengers from France and China were taken to the INJS, a prefabricated village built to accommodate the athletes of the Games of La Francophonie in 2017.

But some passengers on an Air France flight fall through the cracks. Several celebrities or parents of celebrities return directly to their homes, igniting anger among others.

At the INJS, dozens of men, women and children are found. " When we arrived we were not tested ," says a confined passenger joined by RFI. Here at the INJS, there were no doctors to take care of us. There is not even a hydroalcoholic gel, ”she adds.

Wednesday morning, the anger of passengers rises and is heard on social networks. So much so that at midday, the Minister of Health Eugène Aka Aouélé went there. " The confinement will be done at home in the hope that the spirit of discipline and patriotism will prevail " announces the minister who affirms that the confined will be followed medically.

From now on, the INJS will be a medical examination and triage center for passengers from countries with more than 100 reported cases of coronavirus. But the entry on the Ivorian soil of travelers coming from these countries will be prohibited and the flights coming from these countries, suspended from Friday evening midnight.
