From our correspondent,

In Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been reassuring about his health. He spoke outside his home to explain to journalists several of the measures his government has taken to limit the spread of the virus.

In his speech, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of limiting foreign travel as much as possible. He also recalled the need to place oneself in voluntary quarantine after a stay in another country.

Borders open at the moment

For the time being, Canada is keeping its borders open, but cruise ships of more than 500 people will not be able to stop there until July 1. On the other hand, planes from abroad will have to land at a limited number of airports.

In addition, several provinces, such as Ontario and Quebec, close schools from elementary to university, at least for two weeks. Parents will be able to work from home and the government is committed to supporting businesses that are likely to face a slowdown in their activities. The goal remains the same, to limit contact.
