- You want to think that you get some eye contact sometimes, some short moments, but it's hard to say, says dad Jerry,

Before the accident, Jasmine was a happy, skinny girl with a twinkle in her eye. The epatractor was her eye stone. The walls of the room at the children's clinic at Sundsvall Hospital are covered with photos, drawings and greetings from her three younger siblings, other relatives and friends.

"A parent's worst nightmare"

For the parents, it is still difficult to talk about the accident where Jasmine had her life ruined.

The mother talks about Saturday night in September, a friend of Jasmine knocked violently on the door.

- It was a friend of Jasmine's, who said she had been involved in an accident. I called out to Jerry and we put on our clothes and went there.

At the scene of the accident it was full duty, their daughter was left in the car and they immediately realized it was serious.

"A parent's worst nightmare, it can't be explained," says Tina.

Important with a trial

Last week, the two young drivers were indicted. They are suspected of gross negligence for bodily injury and gross negligence in traffic. According to police and witnesses in the preliminary investigation, the accident involved a so-called "chicken race", where the two cars were driving at high speed towards one another on a straight line, to see which of the drivers would weigh first. For the parents, the trial is important.

- You want them to get their punishment, it's just that. And that it should not happen again, Tina says.

"You are terrified"

They are upset that the two guys, who were driving the crash cars, had to keep their driver's license and are out driving.

- We have more children moving along the roads in Kramfors, says Jerry.

- You are terrified that more things will happen, Tina continues.
