Iran has announced 11 new deaths from the emerging coronavirus during the past 24 hours, raising the total death toll from illness in the Islamic Republic to 77.

Deputy Minister of Health Ali Reza Raisi said in statements broadcast on state television that the total number of HIV infections reached 2336, including 835 new infections.

He also pointed out that 435 people were recovered after contracting the virus across the country.
