“From 2016 to 2020 ... acting as part of a criminal community, at the Uspensky traffic police stationary post ... on the federal highway R-217 Kavkaz in the Krasnodar Territory, they systematically received money for committing obviously illegal actions, ”the statement said.
According to the investigation, the suspects received the indicated remuneration for not prosecuting persons for criminal and administrative offenses, as well as unhindered passage through the post of vehicles “illegally transporting goods and alcohol-containing products”.
Among those detained were the commander of a separate platoon of the traffic police of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Uspensky District and three of his subordinate inspectors, the head of the OEBiPK of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Uspensky District, as well as the former senior special operations officer of the department of special importance of ORO ORCH (SB) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.
A criminal case under part 3 of art. 210 of the Criminal Code of Russia (criminal community) and part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale).
As emphasized, the investigation plans to ask the court to elect “seven detainees preventive measures in the form of detention”.
At the end of May in Kabardino-Balkaria, 12 current and former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were detained on suspicion of abuse of power and bribery.
From 2017 to 2018, police officers received bribes in the amount of about 42 million rubles for ensuring unhindered illegal transport of alcohol.
