On the same day, 2885 new cases were cured and discharged, 10193 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 288 severe cases were reduced.
As of 24:00 on February 28, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there were 37,414 confirmed cases (of which 7,664 were severe cases), 39,002 were cured and discharged, and 2,835 were dead. A total of 79,251 confirmed cases have been reported, and 1,418 suspected cases have been reported.
