Emma Hinze of Germany won the queen speed individual race at the Berlin Track Cycling World Championships on Friday, her second title in a few days.

Emma Hinze, carried by a burning audience in the Berlin velodrome, won the final in two rounds against the Russian Anastasia Voinova.

It is the second 22-year-old German gold medal in these worlds, after the title won on Wednesday in team speed.

Voinova, her opponent in the final, was a tough client: silver medalist in speed at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and gold in the World Championships over 500 meters in 2015 and 2016.

In the semi-finals, Hinze had eliminated, also in two rounds, the Hong Kong veteran Lee Wai Sze, 32, double world champion last year in speed and keirin.

Lee won the bronze medal, defeating Canadian Kelsey Mitchell in the small final.
