He noted that the night before during a shelling, a family of five people died, several areas of Tripoli were fired on Friday, and called on the parties to observe a ceasefire.
“It is clear that not one of the tracks can move forward positively while the guns sound ... We insist on continuing the work of the three tracks, no matter what,” he said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that there were no plans to convene a new conference on Libya, explaining this by a sufficient number of such events and the fact that their success depends on the quality of implementation of decisions made, and not on the number of conferences.
On February 16, participants in an international meeting in Munich set up a committee on Libya, which will hold meetings chaired by the UN. The next meeting on Libya will be held in Rome in March, chaired by Italy.
As noted by the German Foreign Minister, in recent weeks numerous violations of the arms embargo on Libya have been recorded.
