“There is no clear division and, accordingly, no clear point of contention. Yes - whether these cars are premium or not. Anyone who barely scratches at the Lada, or doesn’t have a car at all, will say that, yes, this is a luxury car. Anyone who can afford a Mercedes, of course, will say that this has nothing to do with the premium. Therefore, the bar of 3 million rubles has been determined, ”the expert explained.

He added that all cars are gradually becoming more expensive, as well as some cars appear in more expensive versions.

“And buyers must, unfortunately, know and check their cars when paying the annual tax. If the car is on this list, regardless of whether the used car was bought, if it falls into this age plug, or a new car - if it is on this list, then our government considers it to be a luxury item, ”he concluded Kadakov.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade included in the list of cars worth more than 3 million rubles, subject to the so-called luxury tax, cars of the Chrysler, Honda, Jeep, Mazda and Subaru brands.
