The Public Prosecution charged the defendant, an 41-year-old Asian employee, with intent to premeditated and deliberate murder of his co-worker (Arabic) by stabbing him three times, after he smiled, but the speed of transferring the victim to the hospital prevented his death.

The victim (a 32-year-old employee) said that he was at work and spoke with one of the clients, so the accused came to the company’s headquarters late and was not wearing the work uniform, and the accused smiled at him without talking to him.

He added that he was speaking on the phone and was surprised by the accused, stabbing him in the neck and left shoulder three times, and he fell to the ground immediately, and the defendant almost stabbed him again, but the employees deported him, so he escaped. There are no previous differences between them.

An eyewitness of a co-defendant and the victim reported that the defendant directed three stabs directly to the victim with a knife, without anyone knowing the reason, pointing out that he had acted with sudden violence and seemed determined to end the life of his colleague amid a state of shock that initially affected everyone.

The forensic report confirmed that the injuries sustained by the victim as a result of the attack were in deadly places, but his rapid transfer to the hospital contributed to his recovery and recovery without permanent disability, while the police arrested the accused two days after the incident, as he fled the place before arriving.

The criminal court in Dubai began trying the defendant on the second of last October, until the case was resolved with a conviction for the charge of attempted murder and sentenced to three years imprisonment and deportation.
