According to RIA Novosti, the coronavirus was detected in a 61-year-old Brazilian who arrived in São Paulo, who traveled to the north of Italy from February 9 to 21.
Doctors assess the condition of the man as stable, the symptoms are not severe.
It is noted that the Brazilian authorities are analyzing another 20 suspicious situations.
Earlier, the vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Yuri Barzykin assessed the situation in Europe amid the spread of coronavirus.
