In an IFOP study revealed on Wednesday by the Parisian, the development of French hygiene was combed through, revealing serious shortcomings, especially on the side of men.

The French are dirty. This is what an IFOP study, revealed by the Parisian tells us on Wednesday. Study which, more precisely, takes stock of the hygiene of men and women on the basis of several criteria. Among them: daily grooming, changing underwear, hand washing ... And as far as cleanliness is concerned, the study reveals that men lag behind women.

Little changed underwear, unwashed hands

On the frequency of the complete toilet (face and body), they are 71% to perform it every day, against 81% of women. Another important marker revealed by the study, the frequency with which the underwear is changed. As for the toilet, women are more hygienic than men since they are 94% to change underwear daily, against 73% for men. Note that 1% of respondents said they only changed them once every 15 days.

Finally, figures that resonate more than ever with the news. After going to the toilet, only 71% of French people say they go to the sink to wash their hands. Washing is also neglected before eating: only 49 of the French say they wash it before eating.
