- We are constantly working to identify where the consequences for floods can be great in Sweden. Information about how floods affect society is an important basis for planning preventive measures and to be able to maintain adequate preparedness, says Barbro Näslund-Landenmark, who works with natural disasters at MSB, in a press release.

She adds that the reporting from the county administrative boards gives both MSB and the EU important knowledge to be able to adapt the support that may be needed.

The county administrative boards were given the assignment on Monday. The decision is based on the EU Flood Directive 2007.
