Just before 07 o'clock the lights flashed in central Eskilstuna. Shortly thereafter, an alarm came on an explosion in the transformer for an SOS alarm. According to the rescue service, a caller must have heard a bang and then seen smoke on the scene.
- Something has happened in a transformer station that is currently burning. We are on site and extinguish with powder because there is tension left, says Johan Gustavsson, internal commander of the rescue service Mälardalen.
No one should have been injured in the incident.
