This year, the local council wants to save about 5 percent of the municipality's entire budget. The proposal raises feelings, as it means, among other things, that two of the municipality's four village schools are closed, the schools in Nästansjö and Malgovik.

Now parents with children in both schools are considering starting a free school and taking over the operation instead. On March 2, the City Council will decide on the future of the schools.
