That housing company Hembla does not want any direct contact with its tenants is obvious, says Tenant Association's lawyer Bengt Öhman.

- They limit the possibility of having a dialogue, tenants who want to report errors have to call any customer center somewhere and there are waiting times of up to 50 minutes, they close the local offices.

But it is not just the tenants who find it difficult to get in touch.

- Hembla does not even respond to municipalities in letters, regarding, for example, fire protection or the safety of playgrounds, and they do not even answer us when we try to contact.

In an attempt to make demands on Hembla, the Tenant Association now gathers its members to inform about their rights and the landlord's obligations. They also want to see greater responsibility from the regulators. As a final measure, the Tenant Association may be forced to make compulsory management in the properties where many residents experience the same kind of problems.
