New Italian coronavirus infections (Corona 19) are accelerating their spread.

In particular, there are signs that the virus is gradually expanding beyond the two hubs in the north, such as Lombardy and Veneto, to other areas.

The Italian Health Authority said on March 25 (local time) that there were 322 confirmed corona19 patients nationwide. The number rose from 93 to 229 the day before.

Virus infection deaths were also added to 11, up to 11. Additional deaths are also mostly older than 80s.

Of the 11 deaths, nine occurred in Lombardy and the other two in Veneto.

The Italian mortality rate of Corona 19 is 2-3%, close to the global average (about 3%).

The weekly confirmers included 240 Lombardy, 42 Veneto, 26 Emilia-Romagna, three from Piedmont, Lazio and Sicily, two Tuscany and one Trentino-Alto Adige and Liguria.

Four of the first states were confirmed in southern Sicily, central Tuscany, northwest Liguria, and northeastern Trentino-Alto Adige.

It means that the distribution of infected people is gradually expanding from other northern regions to other regions.

The Italian authorities are particularly concerned about the situation where there are three confirmations at once, especially in the southernmost part of Sicily.

In effect, it means that the entire Italian peninsula is in the process of evaluating the virus.

Corona 19 is already crossing the Italian border.

As of today, there were two confirmed patients, one from Austria and one from Switzerland and Croatia.

All are neighboring countries of Italy.

All confirmed patients have recently been in northern Italy.

Based on the Schengen Treaty, which simplifies the immigration process, there is some concern that the virus can spread to neighboring European countries from Italy due to the nature of Europe, where human and physical mobility is free.

Regarding the timing of virus outbreaks in Italy, local health authorities believe that the virus was already in the northern part of the country early and mid-month.

The 38-year-old man, a so-called `` super-propagator, '' entered the Kodoño Regional Hospital, about 70 kilometers southeast of Milan, Lombardy, on Sunday, and had already spread the virus one or two weeks before the infection was judged.

Local authorities have not yet identified the location and identity of the so-called Patient 0, who spread the virus to the 38-year-old man.
