Heavy winds and high water levels in the Baltic Sea have caused flooding in Nyköping. Among other things, the sea sack and several sheds stand in water. - We measure the water level every day and now it is about 62 centimeters above the normal level, says Andreas Molin, operations manager of street and harbor at Nyköping municipality.
Heavy winds have caused large amounts of water to be pushed into the Baltic Sea and SMHI warns of very high water levels in the Baltic Sea outside Sörmland right now.
The water level can be up to 110 centimeters above the national height system and the highest levels are expected in bays and exposed areas, according to SMHI.
