According to the publication, a thick, but at the same time short body of ammunition is suitable for "shooting with heavy bullets flying at low speed."

NI emphasizes that this makes the cartridges useful in achieving such special goals as defeating an adversary in modern body armor that cannot penetrate ammunition with parameters of 9 x 39 mm.

It is specified that such cartridges are usually used when firing large-caliber sniper rifles of the BCCS and assault revolvers RSh-12.

In addition, NI allocated a large-caliber assault rifle ASH-12 (SHAK-12), with which these ammunition can also be used, noting its distinctive features in comparison with traditional samples of Soviet and Russian firearms.
