Fourth victim in Italy for coronavirus. It is an 84 year old from Bergamo. There are currently 153 infected in the country, Italy has become one of the main fronts in the fight against coronavirus outside China. It remains behind only South Korea (602 cases), surpassing Japan (stopped at 135, according to data from Johns Hopkins University). The Italy case now alarms all of Europe and in particular neighboring countries, with France, Switzerland and Austria not excluding any countermeasures if the situation worsens.

Austria first decided and then lifted the blockade of rail traffic on the Brenner Pass. The blockade had been decided after a train from Italy had two German passengers on board with a fever. The train, with 300 passengers on board, stopped at around 15 in Verona, where two people with flu symptoms were dropped, judged by 118 not to be suspicious. The train then left the Brenner pass shortly before midnight.

Romania has placed quarantine for all people arriving from Lombardy and Veneto, after a 40-year-old woman from Bucharest who returned home became the country's first suspect case.

"I was surprised by the numbers, they were kept under control until recently - says Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in connection with 'Half an hour more' on Rai3 - The maximum precautionary line paid off, even if it seems not. We must pursue the line of utmost precaution. We are trying to identify and limit outbreaks, we will do everything possible to contain the infections ".

Commissioner Angelo Borrelli has announced that the Army has made available for quarantine 3,412 beds in over a thousand rooms, while the Air Force has given about 1,750 of them. "We have also made a survey with the regions for hotels and we are ready to use them."

Coronavirus cases are definitely on the increase in our country and only in Lombardy, currently, there are over 150 as stated by the governor Attilio Fontana. And he added: "Let's wait to see the results of the measures taken yesterday that will make a contribution to slowing down and stop" the infection. "Nobody - he added - thought the spread was so aggressive".

"We must not be frightened if the number grows - says Conte - adding that" just signed the implementation decree which sets limitations for 14 days for the areas identified as the hubs of the infection ". It is clear that they are sacrifices, but we repay them with greater assistance, with the utmost attention to their health. I ask for trust but I trust them: we must create an alliance, a pact in the collective interest ".

Basilicata: "Quarantine for those coming from the North"

An ordinance on Coronavirus issued by the President of the Basilicata Region, Vito Bardi, provides for this. With the provision of the Lucanian governor it was also stipulated that "the mayors of all the municipalities of Basilicata in collaboration with all the other municipal institutions will censor citizens from the same regions".

Mayor Ischia: Port closure? It's not about racism
"Yesterday, together with the other four mayors, we thought of prescribing a precautionary act, in view of the contagion of the coronavirus. This ordinance was canceled, because the Prefect found a lack of competence on the part of us mayors. An initiative must be implemented that allows to limit the virus, preventing it from spreading. We are trying to protect our communities, against a risk that, objectively, there is, avoiding transforming the island of Ischia as the cruise ship left in quarantine " . The mayor of Ischia (Naples) says it, Enzo Ferrandino. "We are not fomenting - adds Ferrandino - any alarmism. According to the data, the outbreaks are mainly identified in Lombardy and Veneto. In those areas restrictive procedures have been implemented, such as the closure of schools and universities, banned demonstrations, etc. Yesterday, coaches with more than 100 people from those areas were headed. This is not an act of racism, but precautionary tools are needed in this emergency phase. It is essential to build health cords ".
