The federal leadership of the United Left - the so-called Political and Social Assembly - has approved this Saturday to revoke the membership of the Feminist Party of Spain to IU with 85% of votes in favor .

The Political and Social Assembly has approved the expulsion of the Feminist Party of Spain - integrated in IU since 2015 - "for repeated statutory breaches and maintaining positions contrary to those approved in the IU bodies ", as reported by the training through its account from Twitter

Last December, Izquierda Unida stood out from the controversial statement issued by the Feminist Party of Spain in which, among other things, they expressed their opposition to the implementation of transsexuality laws to facilitate the change of sex of those who so wish.

"The discourses of hate, of the confrontation against 'the other', are neither their own nor of the left nor of the feminist commitment," said Izquierda Unida after the publication of the controversial communiqué.

" We invite the militancy and leaders of the PFE to resolve any doubts they have in the spaces enabled for it in the organization and express publicly and immediately a rectification that ends the persecution to which they submit with their hatred to people of trans identities and the whole of the LGTBI community or we will see ourselves in the duty to request the pertinent internal actions, "they warned from the formation.
