Based on the investigation, the Cultural Administration concludes that a city location gives the most effects for a new art museum in Malmö. They talk about synergies, an effect where different businesses can benefit from being close to each other.
- It is about what is in a city center in terms of, for example, hotels and restaurants. A new art museum can definitely be located in Rosengård, there are different breaks you can put on this. This is the steering group's assessment and the politicians can come to completely different conclusions, says Malmö City's cultural director Pernilla Conde Hellman.
