SMHI warns of extremely high water flows in Nissan and Lagan - then the emergency services and the municipal council in Halmstad demand national reinforcement from the MSB (Swedish Agency for Social Protection and Emergency Preparedness).

- I just talked to MSB and we will receive the material tomorrow (Monday) at lunchtime, says Magnus Eriksson, fire engineer in Halmstad, to SVT Halland on Sunday evening.

He says there will be 1,500 meters of barriers and 15,000 sandbags, among other things.

- The extra pumps we need are in Ljungby, so they don't have to send them, says Magnus Eriksson.

- We want to be proactive in that it is class 3 warnings, says Johan Wallin, internal commander of the rescue service in Halmstad.

Is it something you do often?

- It's not something you do often, but it's not often they issue Class 3 warnings either. The water is expected to remain for a few days and now it will be 15-16 millimeters on Tuesday. Then we want to be one step ahead, says Johan Wallin.
