Palestinian factions condemned today, Sunday, the Israeli army of "abusing" a Palestinian body after he was killed near the separation fence with the Gaza Strip.

The Fatah movement, led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, condemned in a press statement, "the criminal incident by the Israeli occupation forces by pulling the body of a martyr into a bulldozer."

"This criminal behavior is a heinous war crime that must be stopped by all human rights institutions and the international community," the movement said, in a statement to its spokesman, Hussein Hamayel.

Hamayel called on «the whole world the need to provide immediate international protection to the Palestinian people, because this crime and this scene express the barbaric and criminal mentality that governs the behavior of the political and military leaders of the occupation».

For his part, Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that "the deliberate killing of a young man defenseless on the outskirts of the Gaza Strip and the abuse of his body is a heinous crime added to his black crime record against the Palestinian people."

Barhoum held Israel responsible for the repercussions of the incident, saying that "this fascist policy practiced by the occupation is very dangerous, and it dares the blood and the Palestinian human being and persists in his crimes and terrorism."

The Jihad movement also condemned what it described as a "brutal crime," warning against "providing any justifications for launching an aggression on the Gaza Strip, and we take that seriously."

A Palestinian was killed and at least two were wounded today in the targeting of the Israeli army on the outskirts of the southern Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army fired live bullets and artillery shells east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, killing the young man and wounding two others.

Video clips of young men who were present at the scene of the incident showed an Israeli military bulldozer penetrated dozens of meters and brutalized the body of the martyr, lifting him from his head and hanging, then pulled him behind the border fence to prevent his recovery from Palestinian youth.

For its part, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that two young men were wounded by the lower limbs of the body by Israeli army bullets east of Khan Yunis and were taken to hospital for treatment.

The Israeli army said that it detected two Palestinian youths approaching the separation fence and tried to plant an explosive device before they were opened fire and wounded, without giving further details.
