The Duma Committee supported the amendment on the presidential leadership of the Cabinet

It is noted that article 83 of the Constitution is proposed to be supplemented by a provision on the implementation by the president of general government leadership.

An amendment is also proposed to the article, establishing that the state leader "ensures civil peace and harmony in the country."

Earlier, the State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation supported an amendment to the Russian Constitution prohibiting the chairman of the Russian government and federal ministers from having accounts with foreign banks.
