"I think the whole country and of course the family want it," says Stefan Löfven about the information that the prosecutor in the case is likely to make a decision on the prosecution issue during the first half of this year.

-I hope that's it, we don't need any more theories or guesses. Everyone wants an answer, he says, pointing out that in that case it would be good.

Do not want to speculate

He himself has previously believed that it was Christer Pettersson who murdered Olof Palme, but he states that he was convicted in the district court but released in the court of law. Löfven does not want to speculate, and says he has not received any advance information on what could be going on.

"Now we have to wait for what the prosecutor has," he says.

Prosecutor Krister Petersson said in Tuesday's "Violence of the Week" in SVT that he soon thinks he can tell who is responsible for the murder of Olof Palme.
