On Tuesday evening a group of farmers appeared unannounced with tractors in front of an entrance to the Binnenhof in The Hague. A planned farmers' protest will take place on the Malieveld on Wednesday morning.
The police are also present at the Binnenhof and have the area covered with ribbons. Around 8 p.m. the first farmers arrived with their tractors in The Hague. Photos show that the foreman of Farmers Defense Force , Mark van den Oever, is also present at the Binnenhof.
On Wednesday, thousands of farmers are again going to The Hague to protest against the nitrogen measures. Their demands are still the same: the nitrogen problems must not be passed on to the agricultural sector and politicians must listen to the alternatives that the farming sector has devised.
The municipality of The Hague takes into account that the center is inaccessible almost all day. Despite the spring break, the ANWB also warns against traffic on the roads around The Hague.
