At 21 o'clock on Tuesday evening, the police received an alarm about a bang in Gröndal.

- We are there to check the details of a detonation at a residential building. It is far too early to say, but we have been alerted that you have heard a bang there, says Anders Bryngelsson, the police spokesperson.

- It is an alarm about a loud detonation, he says.

A large area has been blocked off. According to police, a detonation occurred at a door, but otherwise the building is without major damage.

Housing has been evacuated

According to SVT's reporter who is on the scene, several police cars and cars are from the emergency services in the area, and several residents in a property have been evacuated.

The rescue service confirms that residents have been evacuated.

"There are a lot of resources in place," says Tony Frank, commanding officer at the Stockholm Fire Department.

He has not received any information about personal injury.
