The fourth session of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition "Yumex 2020" and the simulation and training exhibition "Simtex 2020" will start next Sunday, and will continue until next Tuesday, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The exhibition is the fourth largest exhibition in their history since their first launch in 2015, and they are organized by ADNEC, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and the General Command of the Armed Forces.

The current session is held with the participation of specialized local, regional and global institutions, to highlight the latest innovations and technologies in unmanned systems industries, simulations and training, in addition to artificial intelligence technologies and robots, and future global trends in these sectors, in front of government delegations and a group of agencies and bodies specialized in these sectors and civil bodies .

Officials expected during a press conference yesterday, that the global event will witness the participation of a record number of exhibiting companies and visitors. The head of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the event, Major General Tayyar Ali Muhammad Musleh Al-Ahbabi, said that “the two exhibitions reinforce efforts to advance the concepts of innovation and modernity and support the goals of 2020, A year of preparation for its fifty by upgrading future technologies. ”

He stressed that "the two exhibitions support robot and artificial intelligence technologies in line with the Emirates strategy for artificial intelligence 2031."

"The two exhibitions shed light on the latest innovations and technologies in front of a global audience, which includes government delegations, experts and specialists in these sectors from all over the world, where 200 official delegations will participate in its various activities, and with a growth rate of 33% compared to the 2018 session, and a group of national companies will participate in this International event.

For his part, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for Exhibitors, Brigadier Engineer Khalifa Ali Al-Kaabi, said that the conference, which is being held under the slogan of "harmonization between manned and unmanned systems in the era of smart systems", brings together a group of experts, academic researchers and international thought leaders to exchange views and explore Solutions to current and emerging challenges in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Android Challenge

The “Challenge of Mohammed bin Zayed Global Robot 2020” will be held from February 23 to 25 by Khalifa University. This challenge, which was launched in 2015, is one of the most prestigious global competitions in the field of robotics that is organized in Abu Dhabi every two years, where the value of Prizes during which it is presented to five million dollars. It includes three challenges, in addition to the "big challenge", which consists of three "triathlon" races, all of which focus on finding robotic solutions for smart city applications.

Challenge categories include stopping exotic UAVs for security applications, building automation, fire response, and rapid response to emergencies in high-rise buildings, 34 teams and about 500 researchers representing the best robotic system labs are currently preparing for these categories.
