It is high water levels that are causing it in Western Sweden right now. SMHI has issued a Class 2 warning for high water levels.

- We have normal readiness. We have had some fallen trees, and people are calling in with questions about how to handle water that has entered homes and properties. In some cases, we may go out and help. We are not completely phoned, but the conversations come in a fighting stream, says Niklas Signell, internal commander of Södra Älvsborg's rescue service.

Extra preparedness in Svenljunga

It is mainly Viskan and Ätran that have high water levels right now, which means that some municipalities have extra preparedness, for example in Borås and Svenljunga.

In Svenljunga municipality, every centimeter of Ätran is kept track of.

The stone bridge in Svenljunga is closed to traffic and there is increased preparedness as the municipality's water and sewerage system, and also properties, can be affected by flooding.

Borås warns of falling trees

In Borås, it is high levels in Viskan that cause height contingency. The municipality encourages people to take it gently in forest and land because the water-saturated ground can cause trees to fall.

Fallen trees affect traffic

The wind is blowing on Kattegatt and on Lake Vänern right now, and the harsh winds are causing it for traffic.

Fallen trees put it in traffic right now. On road 574 at the Jordfallsmotet, fallen trees have landed on the road, and traffic is pending pending clearance. Road 2872 in both directions from Backagården to Suntak also has trees all over the road.

The ferry at Kornhallsleden does not release any heavy vehicles due to the high water levels.

The Uddevallabron is closed to all heavy traffic and all other vehicles should drive carefully at reduced speed.

Trains are replaced by buses

Train traffic between Gothenburg and Borås is canceled due to the weather. Replacement buses travel the distance.
