According to TASS with reference to the State Border Service of Ukraine, the incident occurred at the checkpoint "Kuchurgan" Belgorod-Dniester border detachment in the Odessa region.
The intruder tried to cross the border from Moldova and refused to comply with the requirements of the border guards.
“He accused the Ukrainian border guards of high treason, however, according to the laws of the USSR and called for them to go over to the side of the Soviet Union,” the border service said.
"Citizen of the USSR" was detained and received a ban on entry to Ukraine for a period of three years.
