The deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Moscow, the chief of police, Major General Sergey Plakhikh, filed a resignation report three weeks ago. This was reported to RT by a source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the capital.
“For family reasons,” the source said.
Earlier, the press service of the capital’s Interior Ministry headquarters reported that the chief of the Moscow police, Sergei Plakhikh, had resigned.
Plakhikh was appointed to the post of deputy chief of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow in December 2017.
