“The Ministry of Education and Science and subordinate research centers have already informed us of their readiness to develop such a vaccine,” Birtanova quoted Interfax as saying.

According to him, the experience gained in Kazakhstan is enough for this work.

At the same time, the Minister noted the complexity of this technological process, the need for coordination with international scientific centers.

As Birtanov emphasized, in the case of developing a vaccine, it should be of high quality, safe and affordable for the population.

On February 11, Kazakhstan evacuated 217 people from China in connection with the outbreak of a new type of coronavirus 2019-nCoV.

According to the latest data, the number of coronavirus victims in China amounted to 1380, 63.8 thousand cases of infection were confirmed.
