“In total, the event involved about 10 Tu-22M3 aircraft, as well as Su-30SM fighters, and the calculations of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems of various modifications and radar stations,” the department said.

It is noted that, according to the plan of the exercises, long-range aviation pilots worked out the relocation of aircraft to an operational airfield, interaction with other aviation branches and overcoming the air defense system.

Also, the crews of the bombers improved the piloting technique in difficult weather conditions and carried out conventional bombing on ground targets.
