The young citizen, Saeed Rashid Saeed Al Masoudi Al Ketbi, managed to collect more than 300 volunteer hours. Although he is still in his second decade, at the age of 17, he leads the "Ayal Zayed Volunteer Team for Disasters and Crises", which has more than 40 volunteers and volunteers, of all ages and specialties.

His passion for volunteering enabled him to make several positive contributions to the rescue and evacuation operations, after the houses were exposed to fire accidents and drowning as a result of rain.

Al-Ketbi told Emirates Today: “I went to volunteer work at an early age driven by the desire to help others. My family directed me to take the initiative towards those who need help, but I did not realize that this work would later enable me to participate within volunteer hours except when I contributed to organizing A heritage festival, last year, as I learned, through this participation, about what is volunteerism and its foundations ».

He continued, "I formed the (Ayal Zayed) volunteer team after organizing the festival, and I opened the door for participation in it to people of different ages and specialties."

Saeed affirmed that he did not limit himself to his volunteer hours with government and private agencies during the past period, but rather awaited every opportunity available to him and his team to do volunteer work. He said, "There are many areas for performing good deeds that are simple and take no more than a few hours, including, for example, distributing water and food to workers, or contributing to organizing a festival."

He added that «volunteer work has established the concepts of charitable work for citizens and residents, and has become a way of life for our society, as it understands the importance of volunteering, and the extent of the benefit that accrue to society from attracting young men and women of different age groups to engage in this highest and most valuable field.
