Donald Trump reacted publicly following the end of his impeachment trial. The American president had warned on Wednesday that he intended to deliver a speech to "celebrate the victory of the country" after his acquittal. After his acquittal in 1999, Bill Clinton had apologized from the White House gardens, nothing to do with the option chosen 21 years later by Donald Trump who has always proclaimed his innocence and denounced a masquerade.

What we will remember from this speech which was to celebrate his victory after his acquittal is that the American president was freewheeling for more than an hour, and that the word "bullshit" ("bullshit", in English, editor's note) was, for the first time in history, used in public in the salons of the White House.

Donald Trump proudly brandished the front page of the Washington Post crossed out with the word "Acquitted". " I don't think any other president could have endured this. We went through hell but I didn't do anything wrong, ”he exclaimed before embarking on a long disjointed monologue, and multiple digressions.

Schiff and pelosi dressed for winter

The president has insulted Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi , the two Democrats whom he blames for his indictment. " They are vicious, vicious as hell, but they stay together and they can start again, " he joked before justifying himself again and again over the controversial phone call he made to his Ukrainian counterpart.

" But now I am acquitted, fully acquitted, and that is a wonderful word ," said the president. He apologized to his family for making them go through " a bogus, rotten [procedure] imposed by very sick people ". Donald Trump seems more unleashed than ever, offensive, mocking, and confident of his rights.
