The thick smoke in the sky is visible from afar. This Tuesday noon, an impressive fire broke out on rue Saint-Domingue, on the island of Nantes. According to the departmental fire and rescue service, called on the spot, three caravans caught fire shortly after 1 p.m. in a camp for Roma families, located not far from the railroad tracks of the Nantes-Etat marshalling yard.

On social networks, witnesses report hearing an explosion before the flames broke out. The intervention was still in progress at 2 p.m. It is not yet known whether there were any injuries or the circumstances of the fire.
