It was on the evening of November 24 that the police were alerted to an apartment in Älvdalen where a man in his 20s must have threatened other family members with a knife. One of the police officers who arrived at the scene was then attacked by the suspected man and stabbed with a knife in the upper body.

The man is now being prosecuted at Mora District Court for, among other things, attempted murder, serious threat to an official and grossly unlawful threats. The serious illegal threat concerns the family members whom the man must have threatened with a knife and stated that his should kill them.

At the incident, one of the police officers shot the man in the thigh.

See the clip below from the day after the incident where Stefan Dangardt, the police spokesperson, tells us how the event went.
