Apple's new designs - patented by the US Patent and Trademark Office - revealed the company's plans to make a computer with a single plate of glass.

According to The Independent, this computer is exactly the same as the current iMac, as it consists of one large board that includes both the screen and other components. But unlike all Apple devices, it is a glass panel that is supposed to be invisible until it is used.

The patent indicated that the screen curve can either be moved or folded entirely. However, it appears that some parts are still not hidden in the designs, as the computer is equipped with a separate stand on the back, supposed to keep parts that cannot be transparent.

On the other hand, these patent filings do not confirm the fact that the product will be manufactured or brought to the market in the same proposed fashion, but rather provide insight into Apple's design process that appears to be contemplating completely new types of computers.

While the images clearly show a keyboard at the bottom of the computer, another picture shows the keyboard scrolling and embedding it in the screen, which shows the possibility of using it as an additional port base or an additional piece for one of Apple's laptop computers.
