- I interpret it as contrary to the Constitution. These formulations must be reviewed both once and twice, says Peter Bowin (V).

In addition to the fact that social media should not be used privately by employees during working hours, the new proposal for IT policy in Ronneby municipality contains several writings on how employees should behave in social media. Among other things, the employees must "think about" that they write about the municipality "in such a way that Ronneby municipality's reputation and good reputation are maintained".

- I have been contacted by a number of troubled employees, who feel that the municipality is looking a little too carefully at what they do and write in social media. The feeling of being monitored is not a good feeling for the employees, says Peter Bowin (V).

"Contrary to the Constitution"

Furthermore, the proposal states: "In the private use of social media outside working hours, freedom of expression and freedom of expression apply."

- It violates the Constitution. After all, it is in pure Swedish that freedom of speech and freedom of expression only apply outside working hours. Such wording does not belong in municipal policies.

Do you think that's how they mean?

- I hope not, and therefore I would like to see a change to this whole letter.

The municipality's chairman, Roger Fredriksson (M), does not want to comment on the IT policy until it has returned from the referral round later this spring.
