“The specification of the rights of working pensioners to indexation will be defined in industry legislation,” she said.

Earlier, when considering presidential amendments in the State Duma, answering the question of whether indexing would apply to working pensioners, Khabrieva said that "the rule itself is formulated without exemptions."

She emphasized that “only concretization of order is possible” in the Federal Law and gave a positive answer.

On January 23, the State Duma approved on first reading a bill introduced by President Vladimir Putin on amending the country's main law.

Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the lower house of parliament, called the proposals historical.
