Persons with two scooters must have searched for and pursued the lynx that ran away and made their way to an area with snow forest. The persecution must have taken place for about a mile, near Lansjärv between Gällivare and Överkalix.

- Every year we have a couple of cases in the county where we can find illegal persecution or illegal hunting when it comes to wolverine and lynx, says Alexander Winiger, predator at the County Administrative Board in Norrbotten.

According to the county administrative board, the area in question will be prioritized for more supervisory efforts.

- This area belongs to a region that we focus on when it comes to illegal hunting of predators. We are happy to receive tips, says Alexander Winiger.
